Our bodies are a record of our past, an imprint of our life story. When we are stuck in regular states of stress, the brain begins to register tension habits as normal. Muscles remain contracted, knots in shoulders become the norm, our neck, hips, back are stiff and sore. All of this can have a knock on effect to our mental health, only exacerbating feelings of stress, anxiety or low energy.
In this two hour workshop we will explore:
- Somatic movement exercises to help release common problem areas including the neck, shoulders, back and hips.
- Vagus nerve exercises to calm the nervous system and release the neck and jaw.
- Breathwork to expand the ribcage and belly aswell as promoting clarity and ease.
- Meditation to allow for integration and deep rest.
This workshop is not suitable during pregnancy and some experience of yoga is beneficial.
