This 200-hour Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) programme is designed to provide you with the skills and the confidence to become a certified yoga teacher.

What does the course cover?

The curriculum covers all aspects of yoga, including:


  • Asana Practice: Master the alignment, benefits, and adjustments for over 100 poses, based on Vinyasa tradition from Baron Baptiste modern teachings.
  • Anatomy and Physiology: Understand the mechanics of the body to ensure safe and effective teaching.
  • Yoga Philosophy and Ethics: Dive into the ancient texts and learn how to apply yogic principles in modern life.
  • Personal Development: Self-discovery, self-awareness and getting clear on who you really are and what you want out of life. Re-evaluate your values. Question your beliefs and habits. Step into your purpose.
  • Teaching Methodology: Develop your unique teaching style and learn how to guide students with clarity and compassion.
  • Pranayama and Meditation: Explore the power of breath and mindfulness to enhance your practice and teaching.
  • The Business of Yoga: Receive advice on brand-building, developing your business, the next steps and how to build your dream life.
  • Experienced Instructors: Learn from highly experienced and certified yoga instructors who are passionate about sharing their knowledge and supporting your journey. Benedita Sousa

Benedita discovered a profound passion for hot vinyasa yoga whilst working in the coporate world. This intense practice not only quietened her overthinking mind but also played a crucial role in her healing journey from depression.

As the former owner of In Balance Hot Yoga in Southampton, Benedita successfully ran her own Yoga Teacher Training program, cultivating a community of high-quality, powerful, and authentic yoga teachers.

Benedita's mission is to empower aspiring yoga teachers with the tools, techniques, and knowledge they need to overcome life's challenges, to teach with confidence, authentically, and with integrity.

She is a Yoga Alliance approved E-RYT 500.

By the end of the course, you will be able to:

  • Teach 2 sequences, beginners and all levels, and have the capacity to create your own sequences.
  • Practice teaching classes to real students.
  • Effectively use your voice and cues to take your students through a life changing journey.
  • Confidently teach at yoga studios, gyms and launch your own classes.
  • Have the confidence to lead a room through a class and/or workshop.
  • Offer modifications to best serve all of your students.
  • Confidently do hands-on assists to best serve each student.
  • Have a foundational understanding of anatomy.
  • Understand the subtle body and incorporate its teachings into your classes.
  • Learn traditional and modern alignment.
  • Teach pranayama and meditation techniques.
  • Be confident in the business skills needed to excel at running your own yoga teaching business.
  • Audition to become a teacher at New Energy Yoga.

Dates and Location

The next teacher training course will take place between 31st January 2026 and 15th March 2026.

  • Sat 31st Jan - Sun 8th Feb 2026 - 9 Days Intensive
  • Sat 14th - Sun 15th Feb 2026 - First Weekend
  • Sat 21st - Sun 22nd Feb 2026 - Second Weekend
  • Sat 28th Feb - Sun 8th Mar 2026 - Last 9 Days Intensive

The training will be split between a venue in East Stratton, Winchester and the studio at New Energy Yoga.

The teacher training programme is priced at £3200.

If you book before 30th September, you can take advantage of an early-bird rate of £2800 (a saving of £400).

You can secure your place now with a £500 deposit.

The remaining balance will be due by 1st January 2026.



Pre-Requisites

We ask that students:

  • Have been practicing yoga for a minimum of 1 to 2 years.
  • Have a consistent practice of at least 3 times a week, specially 6 months prior to the programme.
  • Have a willingness to learn and be engaged with the teachings.
  • Have a passion for yoga.
