Gentle Vagus Nerve Activation

with Sophie Le Reste

Description

Take some time out for you, and learn to bring your nervous system back to calm.

When was the last time you truly felt safe in your body? For so many of us, stress, anxiety, and overwhelm have become our default. Your vagus nerve is the key to shifting out of that pattern-it's the main nerve of your parasympathetic ("rest and digest") nervous system, and when it's activated, you feel grounded, calm, and able to bounce back from life's challenges.

In this gentle yet powerful 2 hour workshop, you will discover how to activate your vagus nerve through yoga movement, breath work, and somatic practices; all in a warm, welcoming space where you can truly relax and be present. Whether you're new to yoga or have been practicing for years, this workshop is designed for every body and all levels.

What Makes This Workshop Special:

Embodied, not just intellectual: You will feel your nervous system shifting in real-time through gentle movement and breath

Beginner-friendly: No prior yoga experience needed-just come as you are

Rooted in science, delivered with care: Simple polyvagal theory explained in plain language, paired with practices that actually work

Your personal toolkit: Leave with vagus nerve exercises you can use anywhere-for anxiety, sleep, digestion, or when you are feeling triggered

A safe, cosy space: New Energy Yoga's welcoming studio is your invitation to pause, breathe, and take time for your wellbeing

You Will Practice:

* Somatic yoga movements that release tension and stimulate vagal tone

* Breath work techniques for rapid calm (perfect for busy days)

* Vagus nerve hacks: humming, face tingling, gentle neck release, and more

* A guided regulation practice you can take home and use daily

* Time to ask questions and explore what nervous system regulation means for your body

This Is For You If:

You feel constantly on edge, even when there's no obvious stressor

You want to sleep better, digest better, and feel more grounded

You have tried meditation but it makes you more anxious or restless

You are curious about how yoga actually calms the nervous system

You are a yoga practitioner or teacher who wants to deepen your practice with nervous system wisdom

You simply want 2 hours of peaceful time for yourself in a beautiful, welcoming space

This isn't about "fixing" yourself. It's about remembering your body's innate capacity for calm-and giving yourself permission to access it.

Not suitable during pregnancy.
