Letting Go

The way out of our cage begins with accepting absolutely everything about ourselves and our lives’ - Tara Brach

When I came across this quote, it changed my entire outlook on what letting go and freedom actually means.

How can you let something go if you refuse to accept that it exists?

It can feel like the hardest thing in the world to accept reality - to accept what is actually happening or accept something that did happen in your world. But once you do, it loses all of its power. The battle with yourself ceases, and you can finally see what is in front of you clearly.

Trust me, no one wants to face and accept their deepest problems and pain. Why would they? It almost feels counter intuitive. We’d much rather run as far away from it as possible, or try to find a remedy to fix it instantly.

But the remedy is acceptance. To hold and accept yourself right as you are in the this moment. To face and accept the truth of what has happened or is happening. And to offer radical self compassion to the most vulnerable parts of who you are.

And you’ll find that all at once - the pain can finally been set free…

Maddy and I’s Women Circle and Yin Yoga Workshop this month will be all about cultivating this sense of acceptance and letting go, in line with the beautiful super moon of November.

We would love to see you there for nourishing self compassion mediations, pulling your own goddess cards to find out what you need to learn about yourself this month, and deep and calming yin yoga to reset your body and mind and embody all that you have released and let go.

Can’t wait to see you there!
