Yoga can be daunting and often confusing when you are a beginner. There are many different styles, classes and unfamiliar terminology, all of which may make you nervous to give it a try!
However, our beginner classes are designed to make you feel comfortable and instantly at ease as you step foot into our studio. You will be introduced to the basic yoga poses commonly used in our weekly timetabled yoga classes. This means that our beginner classes are a perfect foundation to build confidence and become more familiar with yoga terminology, whether you are a complete beginner or have not practiced for some time.
In our Saturday beginner classes, the class starts with some gentle movements to slowly open the body and create some warmth. We then slowly progress into some standing postures, followed by seated postures and backbends. The class then slowly ends with more restorative postures held for longer, followed by relaxation. You will be clearly guided throughout the class, with some hands-on adjustments and a focus on alignment.
Our beginner classes do not prepare you for a specific yoga style. Therefore, they give you the skills and ability to attend any of our classes on our timetable that are all level, when you feel ready!
You are welcome to attend as many beginner classes as you would like. You may want to attend other classes on our timetable in addition to our beginner classes to try new styles and teachers.

Mondays - 19.45 - 20.30 with Lou Hedderly
Saturdays - 11.30 - 12.30 with Emily Somers
To get you started, if you are new to our studio, you are welcome to access our introduction offer! For £50, you get 6 class credits that you can use over a 3-week period*
*Please note that this 3-week period cannot be extended and once you have paid for the offer the 3 weeks starts.
