Ahead of our reopening on 17th May, we wanted to introduce you to some of the fantastic new teachers who have joined the team over the past year.
Starting with Sarah B, who will be teaching her signature ‘Alignment Based Vinyasa’ class on Tuesdays at 11am.
Hi, I’m Sarah Barguirdjian, an ERYT-500 Yoga teacher who has recently moved to Winchester.
I started learning Iyengar Yoga as a teenager, fell in love with Yoga as an antidote to competitive sports and have since practiced and studied many styles of Yoga, predominantly Yin, Anusara, Ashtanga Vinysasa and continue with my love of Iyengar.
I combine all I love from these schools of Yoga to create fun, engaging classes for all levels.
My hope is to guide people to cultivate better self awareness and calm through Yoga. To guide people to enjoy their creativity and ignite a spark for living life with a clear purpose and poetry.
My classes are known for their warmth, clarity and attention to detail.
I practice Yoga when life is joyful, tedious or busy. When anxiety looms and when crisis hits. Yoga highlights the good and calms the hard.
The physical benefits of Yoga are evident and outstanding. What excites me more is witnessing how the on going practice of Yoga uplifts us psychologically and spiritually.
I'm a keen observer and writer on all things Yoga, have been published in various magazines and am the Singapore editor at YogiTimes.com.

Training and Experience
I've completed thousands of hours of teacher training and am registered at the highest level with Yoga Alliance US (E-RYT 500) and The Independent Yoga Network, UK.
I completed my 500 hour advance teacher training in 2015 with Noah Maze specialising in teaching alignment based and Vinyasa Yoga to all levels.
I have also trained with Sarah Powers to teach Yin Yoga and with Judith Hanson-Lasater to teach restorative Yoga.
I continue to study as a teacher of Yoga, and teacher of teachers, with Noah Maze, Christina Sell and Desiree Rumbaugh and have also attended teacher training courses with Carlos Pomeda, Sienna Sherman, Tara Judelle and Ross Rayburn.
I’m a certified children and teen Yoga instructor, am trained in myofascial release and am an advanced Thai massage therapist. I’ve completed numerous courses in anatomy and kinesiology.
I’ve also completed an extensive course in Positive Psychology with the University of South Carolina and the 8 week Mindfulness Stress Based Reduction intensive created by Jon Kabat-Zinn.
I love continuing learning through Yoga related academic avenues especially courses linking eastern philosophy and western psychology. I am voracious reader and constant student!

My Teaching Style
I teach Yoga poses in stages. Most poses can be made less challenging or more advanced so that all levels of students have something to work with.
My weekly classes focus on different teachings and themes, poses and challenges, so that over a few months you can build a good solid understanding of Yoga.
My Yoga teaching often includes anecdotes on what I’ve encountered in my years of adapting to life in widely differing cultures as well as what I’ve learnt as a Yoga student, teacher, mother, friend, wife and rescue dog owner.
I truly understand how Yoga can be a huge support in difficult times AND how yoga helps us recognize, celebrate and revel in the simple joys each day can bring.
Yogic philosophy, stories from the deities, meditation, pranayama, poetry and mindfulness are also important elements in my classes.
All this with down to earth practical life relevance, some humour and my own personal stories and observations.
