Nutrition Recommendations for Before and After Class
I first discovered yoga at New Energy when I was 16 and have been practicing ever since. Inspired by many teachers at the studio, I decided to train as a yoga teacher after graduating from university. My undergraduate degree was in Sport and Exercise Medical Science which gave me an excellent grounding in anatomy and physiology, the mechanics of the human body and the effect of disease. I recently completed a Master’s degree in Nutrition and am lucky enough to be able to incorporate both of my passions; yoga and nutrition into my job.
I mainly teach hatha-style classes that are alignment-based, focusing on improving your flexibility and strength. Yoga should be for everyone regardless of age or fitness ability. Therefore, I aim to create an inclusive environment for all. I hope to increase your confidence on the mat so that you too can start your own yoga journey!
