Originally hailing from Canada, my love for Yoga began after graduating high school. As a child with a constantly active mind, I swiftly realised that maintaining focus required adopting an active lifestyle as a means to calm my thoughts. It was then on a whim I discovered Hot Yoga after a respected athletic friend dared me, claiming it was the most challenging exercise, and that I wouldn't survive a single class.
A decade of teaching later, my ethos embodies the Greek concept of Areté. This concept champions the idea that everyone possesses the capacity to pursue their "full realisation of potential or inherent function," regardless of past circumstances or preconceived notions.
The goal of my classes is to create an environment where you are encouraged to push boundaries, overcome challenges, and discover your inner strength. I understand that yoga is not just about physical postures but a holistic approach to wellness and as such will incorporate mindfulness, breathwork, and meditation into sessions to help you achieve a state of balance and harmony.
With an academic background in Kinesiology (or Sport Science as it’s called in this lovely country) and Neuroscience, coupled with an unwavering commitment to lifelong learning, I'm also here to address questions related to the science of Yoga. My aim is to equip you not only with the physical benefits but also with a foundational understanding of why Yoga wields such transformative power to better assist you on your journey of self-discovery, transformation, and the realisation of your boundless potential.
