Yoga Summer School

with Jamie John

Have you ever wanted to ask your teacher about a pose during a class, but there's just no time? Or have you struggled with particular postures for years? Back bends give you back pain or headstand petrifies you?

Then my Yoga Summer School is for you!

Taught as a five week intensive course in a workshop setting, this is a chance to break down the whole practice of yoga and meditation into easy to understand pieces. As the students you will lead the discussions, ask me "how and why" and I will work with you individually to answer your questions, provide demonstrations and offer support.

Notebooks, pencils and pens will be provided and each week we will focus on a different aspect of Yoga practice.

  • 1st - Salutations and Standing Poses
  • 8th - Twists and Hip Opening
  • 15th - Forward Folds
  • 22nd - Back Bends
  • 29th - Inversions and Arm balance

Group conversation and "silly" questions will be highly encouraged and we will be part of a community allowing you to discuss further and ask me anything we don't manage to cover over the weekly sessions.

Student numbers will be capped enabling me to dedicate time and attention to each of you and week 5 will finish with celebratory "graduation" drinks.

•This intensive course is suitable for brand new beginners, seasoned students and Yoga teachers looking to deepen their knowledge.

Not suitable any time during pregnancy.

•Jamie John is a Senior Yoga teacher with more than 1000 hours of teacher training, 12 years teaching experience and a deep passion for sharing Yoga.

Special Offer: The first 6 people to book before 1st May are eligible for an early-bird price of £200 (instead of £250).

Meet Jamie

Thinking about it, I guess it started with a bad back...

I began practising Yoga in 2011 after being encouraged by my friend and Chiropractor. He was yet again crunching his way through tight and spasming muscles and said to me “you really should try Yoga”. I loved fitness and the gym and those hobbies coupled with my day job and my party social life- I found I was always uncomfortable or in pain.

I attended classes a couple of times a week and began to make lifestyle changes alongside my practice. I soon noticed a sense of calm, physical flexibility and a positive impact on my relationships with myself and others. The aches and pains disappeared early on, but by 2014 I had found the magic of Yoga and flew out to the Ashram to take my first 200 hour Yoga teacher training.

Yoga is part of my daily lifestyle, alongside my love of nature and travel. I have been teaching classes, workshops and retreats without pause for over a decade, each year advancing my training with different lineages from around the world. By 2023 having amassed thousands of hours of teaching and thousands of students on the mat, I decided the time was right to begin my formal training as a Yoga Therapist.

I am nowhere near perfect and there are days when I can’t even be considered flexible, but I have a gift for sharing Yoga in a fun and approachable way with anyone willing to be a student. It is my love, my passion and my life’s work! Yoga is a path of discovery and I am committed to helping individuals to heal and increase flexibility, to regulate emotions and improve their lives with the power of physical Asana, therapy and mindful meditation.

I truly believe that everybody can benefit from yoga. With practice we can all build a strong and beautiful mind, body and spirit.
