PSY-SOMA Breathwork

with Suki Humby

Psy = Mind. Soma = Body.

Join Suki for a PSY-SOMA experience where she will infuse her love for breathing and passion for music, to take you on a magical journey of self-discovery against a soundscape of deeply immersive and eclectic music.

PSY-SOMA breathwork is a powerful blend of rebirthing and holotropic breathing with verbal guidance rooted in neuroscience and somatic psychotherapy. It is highly experiential and embodied, allowing somatic processing of energy, emotions and stories that have long been held in the body.

We will be breathing in a deep and circular pattern, flooding the mind-body system with life force energy; combined with evocative music to facilitate altered states of consciousness and self-exploration.

Our breath is the fundamental healer in altering our life experience. When we loosen our minds grip and process what is held in our body, we begin to heal physical, emotional, and spiritual ailments, and feel more gratitude, connection, and creativity.

After the breathing session, there will be a period of relaxation and integration followed by a sharing circle and Q&A.

IMPORTANT:

Activated Breathwork creates physiological changes in the body and can result in physical and emotional release. For safety purposes, persons with the following conditions should not participate in a group breathwork session:

1. Epilepsy, strokes, seizures

2. Heart conditions or arrhythmia

3. Detached Retina or Glaucoma

4. Severe Osteoporosis

5. Pre-existing lung disease

8. High or low blood pressure with fainting history

9. First Trimester or delicate pregnancy

10. Recent major surgery

11. Untreated PTSD with strong symptoms

12. Asthma - you can participate but you must have your inhaler available.

Meet Suki

I am a certified breath and somatic therapist and personal transformational coach. I work with a bottom-up approach as opposed to traditional psychotherapy which treats only the mind.

I have been on a path of self-exploration of mind, body, and soul since 2015, with a passion to help people create lasting and profound change in their physical, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing through a series of internationally hosted retreats and workshops.

My expertise is fuelled by my own personal story after receiving a big catalyst for change, in the form of a breast cancer diagnosis at aged 39. I delved deep into many powerful and often unorthodox healing modalities, but never was there ever anything so accessible, inclusive, and transformational as two breathing techniques, namely holotropic and rebirthing breathwork.

The positive results I experienced were instant and mind blowing and propelled a journey to share these powerful modalities to empower people to become their own therapist and revolutionise their own lives.
