Aromatherapy and Nutrition for Immunity

with Emily Somers and Colette Somers

Strengthening our natural defences is becoming more important than ever, with the recent emergence of Covid-19, together with a number of new viruses and bacteria. Stress, lack of sleep, poor nutrition together with cold weather provides plenty of challenges to our immune system at this time of year.

In this interactive and informative workshop we will be looking at two key components that can help boost our immunity and fight infections;

Aromatherapy can strengthen our immune system, making us more resilient to disease. We will explore which essential oils can help us fight specific illnesses and the side effects that accompany them. In addition, we will learn how to improve sleep and manage stress with aromatherapy to ensure that you remain healthy and disease free.

Nutrition plays an essential role in the regulation of our immune response. 70% of our immune system resides in our gastrointestinal tract, meaning that supporting our gut through nutrition is vital. Using the latest scientific research, discover the relationship between the immune system and nutrition, with a specific focus on the gut microbiome. We will also discuss the key micronutrients and science behind our immune system.
