Hello my dearest darlings, I hope the slightly lighter mornings and brighter days which are beautifully lengthening into hints of early spring are bringing you joy as you take a moment to notice them.
If maybe you are feeling like you have more glow and things seems glowier, Venus the planet of love, nurturing and self care moved into Aries this week. Coincidently a day on Venus is longer than an earth year, so embodying this fact take some time to admire the blossoms, smells of fresh cut grass and the sound of birdsong.
Your attraction powers are warming back up, momentum is growing but the beautiful easy flow of the Venusuvian energy gives space for you to feel into yourself as you begin to shed your heavy winter coat. You are probably receiving compliments more at the moment and we have this rose tinted placement until around the 30th of March.
On the 6th March there was a monumentous moment of Jupiter going direct in Cancer, combined with the Venus into Aries this really feels like Persephone is well over half way on her return journey from Hades.
Jupiter is a huge gas planet, huge planet, huge retrograde. The delays weren't delays, this retrograde in Cancer gave you access to the places cast in shadow so that by the time spring comes along you have a deeper understanding of them, you have had the chance to re-write the script, informing us of what parts of needed tending to. When you give awareness to a presence, you question it, you feel it, you see where you've been holding it in your body, what story you've had attached to it, maybe a held fast belief keeping it in place but no longer serving you. Through this deepened relationship with yourself your truth becomes more readily available to you. Emotions untangle and the unconscious patterns loosen. In the space where you once held tight there is now space to move, explore and possibilities seems tangible.
Going forward, it isn't a fiery direct however it is powerful, it is felt, it's not time for full power yet still. It is time to sit with what is coming forth from nourished healthy roots, attracting connection that is supportive and real. Enjoy the uplifting movement you deserve it and you did it yourself- not the stars not the planets - you!
Combined with the transition of Venus into Aries this is where your heart starts realising its true desire, bringing sparks of confidence, where you're adjusting your course after the darker months of winter encouraging honesty and courage - courage in your self belief and trusting your intuition, finding alignment in areas of life that perhaps where a little at odds with each other. Communication is restoring (hang tight mercury retrograde!) clarity is returning, directness and knowing how you feel and what you actually want to say restores honesty and prevents resentment from forming quietly. Mind the impulsive energy of Aries in Venus, this is a time for mediating balance and planning bold action.
I haven't a tarot card for you this week but a rune instead. The mighty Algiz, the elk rune of the Nordic futhark. It symbolises protection and communication with the divine. It is a reminder of the importance of the harmonious contact we have with the earth and Mother Nature.
I often see it at as protective amulet and guide for travel as traditionally this is travel through the realms achieved through meditation and prayer but also I take it into the physical and will often scribble it on my wrist or on the back of a physical ticket (if I have one as they are becoming rare). I also used the rune this week as a basis for a sigil I made whilst casting some protective energy and making some witchy black salt.
Remember you learn to walk before you can run.
