So we are almost the end of January and our class numbers are rising at the new studio in Southampton. Week by week the space is feeling more moved in, warming and welcoming with the influx of faces old and new.
We're already seeing our regulars come through weekly and enjoying greeting our first timers to the studio. The community is growing, we've provided the space but it is your participation that brings the energy and to that we're continually greatful.
So one thing I've been wandering about is how our yogis are filling the space that presents itself after the holidays. January is often grey, slow and a little blue. On such a January Sunday, Isabel, a lady who is fast becoming a regular at Southampton new energy said she had made herself a retreat day claiming 'you can easily incorporate two beautiful back to back classes of a morning make your own retreat day with a long leisurely stroll back to home taking in some of the historical sights and plenty of places to stop off for a little hydration or tasty treat along the way.
I loved how Isabel followed her intuition and created a day that was just for the purpose of her own enjoyment and filling her own cup.
When you walk through the door here you know you're walking into a space that is going to allow you to access whatever it is that you need; be it honing a long held practice, something completely new, experiencing movement as medicine or simply a great way to burn off and seal the day with an hour that you've given to yourself - making yourself a high priority responsibility.
