Following the success of Saturday’s Hatha Stretch class Jamie has decided to increase the offering and create a whole new Friday evening experience at New Energy Yoga.
Hatha Stretch at 6pm
Every Friday at 6pm, Jamie will guide you through his signature Hatha Stretch class with clear and concise instruction and some lighthearted humour too.
Using traditional Hatha postures to work mobility, strength and flexibility - expect a mix of standing balance, floor work and Sun salutations.
A truly well rounded and engaging Yoga practice, be prepared to leave feeling more supple and mobile.
This class finishes at 7pm and flows seamlessly into Hatha Soothe which has a start time of 7:15pm.
Hatha Soothe
Hatha Soothe is a blend of the softest, gentleist and most calming Hatha postures in the repertoire.
Jamie guides this class with little introduction and far less instruction for added relaxation.
Dimmed lighting, calming fragrance and no standing poses at all!
This practice allows you to reconnect with yourself by melting away tension and giving you time to breathe.
A great big self-soothing hug on your yoga mat!
Now here’s what makes Friday evenings special:
- Each class can be booked and attended seperately as usual, allowing you to fit Yoga into your personal schedule.
- Simply decide which suits your needs for that day, a deep stretch or some serious relaxation… OR experience a two hour extended mind and body practice by opting to stay for both classes.
As you rest on your mat at the close of Hatha stretch Jamie will begin to change the studio around you. Essential oils and candles will be lit, curtains drawn and lights dimmed for full coziness. Downtempo music starts to play and by the time you open your eyes to begin Hatha Soothe there will be a blanket and a bolster waiting next to you for full restorative effect!
If you are attending just Hatha Soothe, you’re welcome to arrive early at 7pm and head straight upstairs to the Solar studio. Arrive very quietly and join the other students already in meditation. Lay on your mat, breathe and take some time for you until the class begins at 7:15pm.
The evening finishes at 8pm allowing you to head off and enjoy the start of your weekend as we close the studio for the night.
These classes are not suitable during pregnancy, however if you are a regular student of Jamie’s classes, please speak to him about your options if you’d like to continue your Yoga practice throughout your pregnancy.
