Turning Point:Yoga For Renewal

with Emily Bruce

Description

A New Year's Eve practice for resetting coming back to yourself and intentionally choosing what comes next.

The end of a year can feel noisy. Full of reflection, expectation, pressure to reinvent yourself by midnight.

This is something different.

Turning Point is a 90-minute practice designed to help you get out of your head and back into your body. To consciously let go of some of what you have been carrying, settle the static in your system and create enough space to hear yourself again

We will begin with a slow-building flow to shift stagnant energy, wake up the body and reconnect you with your own strength. From there, the pace softens into Yin and Restorative practice, giving the nervous system time to settle and allowing something quieter to emerge underneath all the doing.

There will be space for reflection, intention and sankalpa too. Not a list of resolutions. Not another project to improve yourself.

Instead, wewill explore what you are ready to leave behind, what you want to stay rooted in, and how you want to feel and live as you step into 2027.

Think candlelight. Carefully chosen beats. Strength followed by surrender. A little strength, a lot of exhale, and space to meet yourself somewhere beneath the noise.

🕯️ 90 minutes of movement, nervous-system reset, stillness and intention

Leave grounded, clearer, more alive, and ready to walk into the new year as yourself rather than yet another version of you that you think you ought to become.

The pace of life is FAST these days and it’s easy to find that you regularly show-up as someone other than the person you’d choose to be. Maybe your back was hurting. Maybe you were in a hurry. Maybe you were stressed about, work, family, health, sleep… the list just goes on and on…

That’s where I think Yoga comes in. It smoothes the sharp edges off life and opens the space for you to begin to align yourself more fully with who you consciously choose to be rather than becoming a product of circumstance.

If you’ve never tried yoga you probably have no idea what I’m talking about. And that’s ok because yoga is great for building strength and flexibility, improving balance and all the other stuff too.

Having been a Yoga student for over 20 years and having experienced the powerful impact it has on physical, mental and emotional well-being, I’m keen to share its wonders. I attained my British Wheel of Yoga Teacher Training Certificate in 2018 and completed a 500 hour Yoga Therapy Diploma with Yogacampus in 2023.

I have a degree in Philosophy and Art and love to explore the potential paradigm shifts offered through the reading of philosophical yoga texts with my students and clients. My aim is to create fun yoga experiences which allow students to experience the many transformational benefits of yoga.
